Royston Stud

Placement type: various

Open to: equine science students

Details: Royston Stud is in Innisplain, and comprises more than 600 acres. A small team of professional equine staff will mentor and share knowledge with interns

Daley's Fruit Tree Nursery

Placement type: work experience

Open to: horticulture students (or other relevant program majors)

Details: although busy all the time, most activity is during the growing season (August to March). Summer placements are best if you want to participate in grafting and cutting; winter is quieter and will focus on retail sales, mail order business, packing and dispatch

Details: internships have flexible timespans that may suit semester breaks or be suitable as part of course requirements for industry placements. Daintree Cocoa Pty Ltd was Australia’s first commercial cocoa processor and manufacturer of Australian origin chocolate. As a total plantation‐to‐plate cocoa company, it's one of an elite handful of companies worldwide that has full control over every step of the cocoa‐to‐chocolate value chain. It's a member of the Queensland Cocoa Industry Development Association Inc.
