Work experience provides you with real-life, practical experience in an area directly related to your degree program.
It enables you to put theory into practice, build important relationships and networks with potential employers, and test possible career outcomes.
Our links with industry and government and hands-on, practical approach to learning ensure that you’ll gain the edge in the job market and be highly sought after by employers once you graduate.
Unpaid Work Experience
Students enrolled in any of our programs can complete up to 30 days per calendar year of approved unpaid work experience, preferably during the university breaks. Completed forms must be sent to enquire@science.uq.edu.au for approval at least 10 business before the work experience commences.
