Several courses within our external programs have compulsory residential school components.

If you’re enrolled in such a course, you’ll need to attend a residential school to fulfil the course requirements.

Practical element

Our residential schools are held on campus, usually at Gatton.

They’re practically oriented and held over a single day, or for up to six days, during semester breaks in March/April, September/October and December or January.

Residential school timetable

Each Semester the residential timetable will be availabe on Allocate+

After you enrol, you can access My Timetable through your my.UQ Dashboard (student login required).

Class allocation has 2 stages:

  1. Class preferencing
  2. Class adjustment.

When planning your enrolment, always follow the recommended schedules set out in our Science Study Planners to avoid clashes with the residential school timetable.  Students are reminded to check their timetable once enrolled into the course to ensure you have not enrolled into courses that will have a timetable clash.

If you make changes to your enrolment, you’ll be responsible for ensuring that you can attend any compulsory residential schools.

You’ll need to make your own travel and accommodation arrangements.
