Our world-class facilities and laboratories are equipped with sophisticated specialist equipment and instrumentation, and provide outstanding spaces for teaching, research, analysis and commercial services.

UQ St Lucia houses a range of food science, plant and soil laboratories, and UQ Gatton’s teaching and research drawcards include the Queensland Animal Science Precinct, nurseries and propagation facilities, greenhouses and glasshouses. A $30 million Plant Growth Facility is under construction.

Our land in the fertile Lockyer Valley is also one of our greatest resources, and our staff, students and partners make use of research farmland for grazing and crop production, a 1,000-hectare commercial farm and horticultural fields.
