With a focus on quality as perceived by the consumer, this project will focus on the biology and/or technology of fresh produce (fruit, vegetables or ornamentals) in horticulture industry value chains.

Working with research partners, you'll aim to overcome technical and other limiting issues, such as:

  • pre-harvest effector of post-harvest quality
  • cold chain integrity from paddock to plate
  • packaging and handling
  • commodity-specific physiological disorders
  • other stresses, such as mechanical injury.
