Plants are continuously exposed to many different microorganisms, including pathogens as well as many beneficial microbes. In this project, we'll use a molecular approach to identify genes that confer disease resistance in plants, and a biodiscovery approach to identify new anti-microbial compounds from beneficial soil microbes in the rhizosphere. You can work on any aspect of the project.
