Researchers are the UQ Advanced Water Management Centre have developed technologies for the recovery of nutrients from source-separated human urine as a pollutant-free and reusable liquid fertiliser. The first UGold production trial is now underway. A next step is optimising the effectiveness of UGold for plant growth in urban and agricultural settings. The student will work in an interdisciplinary team of university and QLD Urban Utilities researchers.
