A number of potential projects in the area of apple tree physiology and dormancy are linked to climate change and/or disease-resistant varieties. Most of these projects will require field-data collection, but some are primarily "desktop" studies.

Location: Gatton, with possible fieldwork in southern Queensland

Expected outcomes: skills in managing a research project, data analyses and scientific writing. Opportunity to develop a network of contacts within the scientific community and apple tree industry
