The Dairy Unit at Gatton has received some funding to buy new technology and Information systems to measure several process variables, such as milk weight, soil moisture, pasture height and RFID amongst others. Unfortunately, the several proprietary software packages involved cannot integrate the information. The project involves writing code (eg Python) to automate the process of collecting all these data files (eg csv) and uploading them into our server so that we can process and present the data through our web site.

The second part of the project is to collaborate with our Internet of Things (IoT) team to develop a dashboard that presents this data in a format usable by the dairy staff.
