Using data from existing trials, the study will examine statistical methods to assist in sampling of physiological and growth measurements. There may be some data collection, or assistance with crop trials, but the emphasis is on the analytical aspects.

This project is open to applications from students with an interest in crop trials and agronomy, with an aptitude or particular interest in statistics and analytical methods using R, Students should have completed a statistics course, and a working knowledge of Excel.

Expected Outcomes: Students will gain skills in data collection and analysis, and gain some insight into crop experiments and large datasets. They may have an opportunity to generate publications from their research. Students will also be asked to produce a report, poster or oral presentation at the end of their project.
