Using data from an existing household survey undertaken in Africa, this project will examine statistical methods to assist in sampling for use in monitoring and evaluation, but the emphasis is on the quantitative aspects.

This project is open to applications from students with an interest in development and producing indicators for development, with an aptitude or particular interest in statistics and analytical methods using R.

Expected Outcomes: Students may gain skills in analysis of survey data, data collection and analysis and use of logic models for developing an evaluation framework They may have an opportunity to generate publications from their research.  Students will also be asked to produce a report, poster or oral presentation at the end of their project.
