One of our postgraduate students recently discovered a new population of the critically endangered Hastings River mouse. This proposed project aims to determine the population's habitat use and density/size.

Location: the population is near the Main Range National Park, about an hour's drive from UQ Gatton

Expected outcomes: opportunities to develop field-based ecological skills in sampling population of small mammals
