Determine the effect of drought and/or salinity and/or temperature on the production of rice
We offer several opportunities to conduct physiological experiments with the aim of determining the effects of abiotic stress on growth, development and yield of rice. Our RIRDC-funded project aims to identify variation, and quantify the production response of rice under controlled environmental conditions.
Location: St Lucia or Gatton
Expected outcomes: an understanding of the effect of abiotic stress on plant growth and development; experimentation and research strategies for glasshouse conditions
Supervisors: Dr Jaquie Mitchell, Professor Shu Fukai
