This research will involve carrying out some small-scale experiments to test a range of soils inoculated with cyanobacteria amendments. The aim is to test a variety of seeds and measure germination success in cyanobacterial enriched soils. Outcomes of this research project will result in taking part in the publication of the results in the context of a collaborative land rehabilitation project.

This project is available to Honours and Postgraduate Coursework students.

Opportunities exist for more in-depth PhD research projects to be developed from these studies.
