Animal production is concerned with the scientific and business aspects of the production of beef and dairy cattle, poultry, sheep, goats and pigs.
As an undergraduate, you'll explore the sciences that underpin animal production including animal behaviour, microbiology, anatomy and physiology, biochemistry, health, genetics, nutrition and reproduction.
You'll learn how to apply this knowledge and use the latest technologies and business principles to manage production animal systems to ensure economic and environmental sustainability with a focus on addressing local and global issues facing animal industries today.
