High school engagement

We're passionate about educating the next generation of science stars, and enjoy close relationships with high schools.

From campus visits and tours to workshops, classroom presentations and competitions, all of our events and activities provide school students with a preview of life and learning at UQ.

We welcome enquiries about how to engage with us, and cater for large and small school groups, teachers and individual prospective students and their families.

Our team can answer questions about study options, careers and campus life, and deliver information and resources to highlight some of the big issues our School strives to tackle.

UQ Open Days

UQ Open Days offer a taste of the UQ experience, and our workshops and information sessions provide insight into what it's like to study with the School of Agriculture and Food Sciences.

We're heavily involved in UQ Open Days at St Lucia and Gatton, and invite high school students and teachers to join our activities.

Visit the Future Students UQ Open Day web pages for more information.

Campus and classroom workshops and talks

Our workshops and careers talks for schools are designed for the high school audience, and we can tailor our presentations to your school's syllabus and specific needs.

We can come to your school, or your group can visit us on campus.

Visit the UQ in Schools website or Careers that started in science teacher webpages for more information.

Online resources

UQ Library's UQL Cyberschool hosts a range of free online resources for senior high school students, and teachers.

You'll find links to a variety of websites, databases and ebooks on the theme of agriculture.
